Animal Protection New Mexico
Albuquerque, New Mexico / $15,000
Despite 40 years of powerful, positive change in New Mexico, the sad fact is that animal cruelty remains prevalent. The Animal Legal Defense Fund ranked New Mexico as the worst state in the nation for animal protection laws. Companion animals, equines, and wildlife throughout NM face complex threats to their health and safety, and require comprehensive protection from neglect and abuse. Without APNM, thousands of animals would go without the services and resources they need to survive and thrive. Our vision is to make humane the new normal in New Mexico.
C.G. Jung Institute of Santa Fe
Santa Fe, New Mexico / $5,000
The C.G. Jung Institute of Santa Fe’s goal is the application of Jung’s cultural theories to current social, political, and ecological challenges such that, as individuals connected to a community, we can reflect with others on how best to navigate our conscious and unconscious feelings, fears, and concerns. The Institute does this because we believe that the well-being of communities as well as individuals in norther New Mexico is dependent on cultivating psychological skills that broaden our awareness and perspectives so that we can act reciprocally.
End of Life Options New Mexico
Albuquerque, New Mexico / $18,000
When making decisions about end-of-life care, New Mexicans need accurate, unbiased information about their rights and the healthcare options available to them, especially seniors and all those facing a serious illness or a terminal prognosis. Because end-of-life decisions are often made in crisis, some individuals and their families need caring support to both identify and obtain timely information about their options and direct assistance in accessing the care that is right for them, including medical aid in dying. EOLONM’s primary goals for 2023 are to expand our outreach throughout NM and build a sustainable foundation for the organization.

We offer programming five days per week at our partner schools and at our Hillside Center during the school year, and in our spring and summer camps.
