admission to a four-year
college, and creates teaching
opportunities for outstanding

for the duration of the program
by our quality control team. All
patients receiving prescriptions
will be proved with ongoing
nutritional counseling and

commercial sexual exploitation. Eden House
is taking proactive
steps to not only help
each victimized woman
recover, but to change
the culture that accepts
the buying and selling
of women. Eden House has
created a program that
is completely unique to
Louisiana and the Gulf

Informed health care consumers
are more likely to have healthy
pregnancies and to effectively
space their pregnancies /avoid
unplanned pregnancies. In
addition, because they are more
likely to receive regular, high
quality health care, including
prenatal care, informed health
care consumers are more likely
to have potential health
problems diagnosed earlier, when
they are easier and less costly
to treat. This will ensure
better health outcomes for
mothers and their children in
Baton Rouge. |

Mobile Pantry Program is
a traveling food pantry
that brings large
quantities of fresh
produce and other
perishable food directly
to people living in
places where such
resources are scarce,
such as rural,
underserved or
hard-to-reach areas.
Since Second Harvest’s
program began, the
Mobile Pantry has
brought millions of
pounds of dairy
products, protein, fresh
vegetables, fruit, whole
grain goods and other
shelf-stable items
directly to community
members. |

In June of 2011, Mayor
Mitch Landrieu signed an
executive order
establishing the
Homeless Services
Working Group that was
tasked to develop a
strategic master plan to
prevent, reduce and end
homelessness in the
Metro New Orleans,
region. This plan was
designed because on any
given night
approximately 6,500
residents are without a
home including
unsheltered individuals,
youth, and families. The
Mary Amelia Whited-Howell
Cottage will be designed
to increase access to
stable and affordable
housing. This project
will increase the Metro
New Orleans region bed
space by 30. |
