New Mexico Coalition to
End Homelessness |
Santa Fe, New
Mexico / $10,000 |
|
Over 8,000 people in New Mexico
experience homelessness and seek
help from our member agencies
each year. Our new system of
coordinated assessment allows
our members to assess people’s
level of need and enter them
into a common data base.
Coordinated assessment is
ensuring that the permanent
supportive housing is now gong
first to those who need it most,
and that all homeless people are
being directed toward programs
that will best meet their needs. |

don’t have access to the arts.
Outside In began searching for
new ways to connect with New
Mexico’s alienated youth. That
search led us to the Sequoyah
Adolescent Treatment Center in
Albuquerque. Sequoyah is a
36-bed residential treatment
center for adolescent boys who
have a history of violence, have
a mental disorder and are
amenable to treatment. |

Santa Fe, New
Mexico / $15,000 |
|
The SFCT has had a hand in
developing more than 75 miles of
soft surface trails in and
around Santa Fe. We offer
children options for physical
activity that are free and
family oriented. Working to get
all citizens on our trail system
is a way to connect people from
all parts of community. Our
goals are to introduce kids and
their families to our trail
system, help them get more
exercise and improve their
health, and in the process,
create the next generation of
conservationists. |

Santa Fe Farmers’ Market into
one of the best in the country.
Multiple programs help to expand
economic opportunities for
farmers, encourage more
community support of our local
growers, impact surrounding
businesses, strengthen the
