4 the Girls has a vision of strengthening young girls to be leaders in their homes, schools, and communities - and for every young girl to have a voice that changes and empowers her and those around her. Our programs help restore face-to-face interactions with peers and promotes conflict resolution in relationship building. 4 the Girls offers our mentoring and educational program one to two times a week as the school schedule allows. We host workshops on financial literacy, leadership skills, health and wellness, relationship building, academic tutoring, civic engagement, and more during these sessions.

Chimp Haven was founded in 1995 to meet the need for long-term chimpanzee care for chimpanzees used in research. In 2000 Congress passed the Chimpanzee Health Improvement Maintenance and Protection (CHIMP) Act, establishing a federal sanctuary system to provide lifetime care for chimpanzees retired from medical research. The federal government chose Chimp Haven to fill the role. At Chimp Haven, chimpanzees who have spent their lives in research, experience many of the freedoms they would have in the wild and receive the expert care they need to keep them healthy and thriving.

Community Renewal International’s model consists of 3 comprehensive community-wide initiatives - empowering residents to make positive changes in their lives, neighborhoods, and communities. The Renewal Team and Haven House Leader strategies help connect people, resources, and partnerships across the city. The Friendship House strategy places staff in homes within vulnerable neighborhoods to infuse that community with initiatives and resources restoring hope and bringing new opportunities to that neighborhood. After school programming, CED instruction, service opportunities, and more are offered free of charge. The Community Renewal model is currently under replication in nine other cities.
